Alvaro Bautista was expecting a tough race in Barcelona today but nobody expected it to be over so quickly, the Spanish rider crashing out for the second round in succession. Starting from fourth on the grid Bautista and Team GO&FUN Honda Gresini had high hopes for the race but these things happen in the race and the team will stay united as they target better fortunes in the next race. Bryan Staring, meanwhile, improved his pace from practice and was rewarded with the first points of his MotoGP career.
The Catalan Grand Prix unfortunately only last three laps for Niccolò Antonelli, whose high hopes for a top result were ruined by another crash. The Team GO&FUN Gresini Moto3 rider was hoping for much more after a good showing at the last race in Italy but it wasn't to be and now he must look ahead to making up for his disappointment in the next races. Lorenzo Baldassarri made it to the finish in a position that perhaps doesn't reflect his true potential but it has still been a productive weekend in Barcelona for the Italian rookie.Published on : Qer 15 2013
